A few weeks ago the new edition of Good Housekeeping arrived with Katie on the cover with a blurb that said something like,
"You know about the job, here's the latest on her girls, finding a new romance and turning 50." Think for a moment could you imagine a cover of a magazine with Dan Rather and a blurb "You know about the scandal, here's the latest on the grandkids, keeping the passion going, how his protate's doing and turning 80."
Most TV News ceased being serious years ago. Katie's ascent to the anchor chair just makes it official. Most viewers realize that.
