From the Washington Post online: Administration Revives Dispute Over Eavesdropping Authority
Turns out former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle disputes the Administration’s claims to implied war powers’ authority for intercepting certain international communications. In fact, over half the article covers this fascinating tidbit. (And obviously the Administration does not agree.)
What I didn’t learn was how the Administration revived this issue…or why they wanted to…..maybe they’ll get to that after the excitement of talking to Tom Daschle subsides.
